The People vs. War event was an interactive mock trial I helped promote and plan as a student ambassador alongside my professor for The Diane Coyle Peace Committee. The committee hosts one event a year with hopes to foster international peace and justice. For this event, The Coyle Committee partnered with Warm Cookies of The Revolution, based in Colorado.
We started the planning process in late spring in 2025. For my Small Group Communications class during the fall semester, I was group leader where I navigated my group through what the event would entail. I created the flyer where I spread them across Downtown Sylva, participated with setting up the event, and created an survey for attendees to fill out. The flyer was also posted digitally at WCU.
